The situation
This is an established Tampa Bay escape room business selling public games plus higher-value date-night, birthday, and corporate bookings across the Tampa Bay area.
The goal was to make Google Ads reliably profitable through a seasonal calendar, while keeping branded, non-branded, and corporate traffic cleanly separated so the numbers could be trusted.
What we did
We ran Google Ads as the core channel, a segmented account split by intent so spend and ROAS could be read per purpose, with Facebook as a supporting test channel.
- A segmented account: a core escape-room Search campaign, PMax for Date Night and Birthday Parties, a branded defensive campaign, and a corporate campaign.
- A clean branded vs non-branded split, with ROAS reported on actual purchases only.
- Continuous optimization: negative keywords, geo tuning, day-parting, and budget shifts toward what returned money.
- Facebook and Instagram retargeting as a supporting channel, plus landing-page fixes for corporate and team-building.
The results
- 6.61Xblended Google Ads ROAS in August 2025 (20.60X branded, 10.11X core)
- +20%bookings year over year, 168 in August 2025 vs 140
- $17.51cost per booking across the July to August 2025 window, on 88 purchases
Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager, 2025; Facebook retargeting returned 8.18X to 10.13X on booked sales.
A mature account holding profitable ROAS season after season, the strongest hard-numbers escape-room proof in the set.
