Facebook and Instagram ads

Facebook ads for contractors and local service businesses.

Google catches the people already searching for you. Facebook and Instagram reach the ones who weren't, and turn them into booked jobs. Whether you run a contracting business or a local venue, we make the ads, not just run them, and point paid demand at the specific slots you need to fill.

Why owners keep us

The machine picks the winner. We hand it winners to pick.

Meta delivery is AI-run now, so the account barely matters and the creative is almost everything. Three things separate paid social that books jobs from paid social that buys likes.

  • We make the ad

The Facebook and Instagram creative is designed in-house, before a dollar of media, because the model can only pick a winner out of the ads you give it. That is the whole game now.

  • Measured to the booking

We wire the tracking so a scroll can be tied to a sale, then judge the account on bookings and cost per booking, never on likes, reach or a vanity thumbs-up.

  • A flat fee, aligned

Management is part of the flat $590 a month plan, not a slice of your spend, so we win when the bookings come in, never when we talk you into a bigger buy.

Feed the machine, win on creative

Meta in 2026 is an AI delivery engine. You win it with creative.

The account is no longer a wall of narrow ad sets and hand-picked interests. Advantage+ Sales is the default: one broad, AI-run budget where the model decides who sees which ad. Andromeda retrieves the candidate ads and GEM ranks them, so the lever that moves the number is not another ad set, it is another good creative. We build the way the engine now rewards: a few broad sets fed a deep bench of creative, a clean first-party signal through the Conversions API, and warm audiences kept separate on purpose.

How we build a Meta account in 2026: one broad Advantage+ engine fed a deep creative bench, a testing lane feeding it winners, retargeting kept separate.
  • Advantage+ Sales is the default, not a test. It hands one broad, AI-optimized budget the job dozens of hand-built ad sets used to do, and it is now where most Meta ad spend runs.

    Meta advertiser-spend analyses, 2026
  • The AI engines decide delivery. Andromeda retrieves the candidate ads and GEM ranks them, so which of your creatives gets shown, and to whom, is the model's call. You feed it more good creative, not more ad sets.

Meta Engineering, Andromeda and GEM, 2025
  • First-party data is the prerequisite now. Server-side signal through the Conversions API is what survives the browser privacy changes that broke the old pixel, and it is what the model learns from.

What changed

What worked in 2024 is not what wins in 2026.

The levers that ran a good Meta account two years ago are the ones the model now runs for you. The work moved off the ad set and onto the creative and the signal you feed the machine.

  • 2024

Dozens of narrow ad sets, one audience each, split-tested by hand

    2026+

A few broad sets, one AI budget, Advantage+ finding the buyer

  • 2024

Stacked interest and lookalike audiences, hand-picked and layered

    2026+

Broad targeting, the model reading intent off the signal you feed it

  • 2024

Every new idea meant a new ad set to test it in

    2026+

Every new idea is a new creative in the one set. Diversity lives in the creative

Why it matters now

The account got simpler. The creative got everything.

Meta spent two years consolidating the account into one AI engine and moving the outcome onto the ad itself. The numbers say the same thing three ways: the budget is broad and automated, the signal has to be first-party, and the more good creative you feed one set, the cheaper the reach.

  • ~89%of advertisers now send server-side conversions through the Conversions API. First-party signal is the prerequisite, not a nice-to-have.Conversions API adoption benchmarks, 2026
  • ~22%lower cost per action when Advantage+ Sales runs against a comparable hand-built campaign, in Meta's own reported tests.Meta for Business, reported Advantage+ results
  • 30-40%lower CPMs when one broad set is fed 15 or more creatives instead of a handful. The bench, not the budget, buys the cheaper reach.Meta creative-volume benchmarks, 2026
Advantage+ Sales went from a test to the defaultShare of Meta advertiser spend running through Advantage+ Sales
  • 202434%
  • 202662%

In two years the majority of Meta ad spend moved into one AI-run campaign type. Broad and automated is the default now, not the experiment.

One honesty note: the exact adoption figures vary by who measured them and which advertisers they sampled, so we show them as approximate. The direction, from many manual ad sets to one broad AI engine judged on the creative, is not in dispute.

Straight answers

The questions owners ask about Facebook ads management.

How much do Facebook ads cost for a small business?
Management is part of the flat $590 a month Growth Plan, not a cut of your ad spend, and your media budget stays separate. Managing your Facebook and Instagram ads is part of Massive Impact's flat $590 a month Growth Plan, not a percentage of your ad spend. Your media budget, the money that actually goes to Meta, is separate and always yours to set. A flat fee lines us up with the result rather than the spend: we're paid the same whether your budget is small or large, so the goal is bookings, not a bigger buy.
What is the difference between Facebook ads and Google ads?
Google captures people already searching for you. Facebook and Instagram create demand from people who weren't. Google Ads is intent-capture: it puts you in front of someone actively searching for your service, so it harvests demand that already exists. Facebook and Instagram ads are demand-generation: they interrupt people scrolling who weren't looking yet, and give them a reason to book. That's why we run both. Google catches the ready buyer, paid social creates new demand for the nights and occasions nobody is searching for yet.
Do Facebook ads work for local service businesses?
Yes, especially for filling specific slots, off-peak nights, birthdays, corporate and group bookings, that nobody is searching for. Facebook and Instagram ads work well for local service businesses when they're pointed at the right job: filling demand that search can't reach. Off-peak weeknights, birthday and party bookings, corporate and group events, seasonal pushes, these are things people don't type into Google but will book when a good ad interrupts them. The key is measuring the ads on bookings, not likes, and making creative worth stopping the scroll for.
Should I run Facebook ads or Google ads first?
Usually Google first to capture ready demand, then Facebook to generate more. Best case, they run together. For most local service businesses, Google Ads comes first because it captures people already searching, which is the fastest, highest-intent demand. Facebook and Instagram come in to generate demand beyond what people are searching for, filling the slots search can't reach. They work best together: search captures the ready buyer while paid social creates new ones. On a call we'll tell you honestly which to start with for where your business is.
Why aren't my Facebook ads working?
Usually the creative and the offer, plus measuring likes instead of bookings and no tracking tying spend to sales. Facebook and Instagram ads usually fail for one of three reasons: the creative doesn't stop the scroll, the offer gives no reason to book now, or the account is measured on likes and reach instead of the bookings it drove. Often the tracking isn't wired up, so nobody can even tell which ad produced a sale. The fix is stronger creative, a real offer, and tracking that ties spend to bookings so you can see what's working.

The steady number for the trust

The believable Meta return, held account after account.

One screenshot proves nothing. Here is the return that held, read straight off each client's own Meta Ads Manager: the sustained average across the full run, not a peak month. Lost Reality's outsized number is real too, and shown on its own dashboard below, but we anchor on this steady band because it is the one most rooms can expect.

  • 50X+Meta return on ad spend, held in 9 of the last 10 months, at about $3.60 a bookingLost Reality, Meta Ads Manager, Aug 2025 to Jun 2026 (10 months)
  • ~6X to 7Xthe steady Meta return, month after month, across two more escape-room accountsThe Escape Adventures (11 mo) and Game Over Calgary (9 mo)
  • We make themthe Facebook and Instagram creatives are ours, designed before a dollar of media is spentMassive Impact, Meta Ads Partner
Meta return on ad spend, sustained, by accountPurchase ROAS averaged across the full run, not a peak month
  • The Escape Adventures: avg across 11 straight months, range 3X to 9X, $16 to $30 a booking~6.5X
  • Game Over Calgary: a tight 4.6X to 8.1X band across 9 months, about £13 a booking~6X
  • Escape Live: roughly 6X on Facebook across a UK multi-city run, 5.8X to 9.5X~6X
  • Exitus: a 5X to 6X return on both Google and Facebook, the owner on camera5X to 6X

Lost Reality is the outlier, not the norm: it held a 50X-plus purchase ROAS in 9 of its last 10 months on a small, tightly-aimed budget, which is why we keep it off this steady-band chart and show it on its own dashboard instead.

Lost Reality's Meta Ads dashboard showing a 52.76 purchase ROAS in June 2026, with spend and revenue blurred.
Lost Reality, June 2026: a 52X purchase ROAS on 55 bookings at $3.59 each. Account, spend and revenue blurred; the return is real, read straight off Meta.
Game Over Calgary's Meta Ads dashboard showing a 5.39 average purchase ROAS in June 2026, with spend and revenue blurred.
Game Over Calgary, June 2026: a 5.4X return across two live campaigns. The believable, month-after-month kind of number, on Meta.

Every number here is read straight off the client's own Meta Ads Manager, and the dashboards are real (we blur the account name, spend and revenue, never the return). Two honest caveats: Lost Reality's 50X runs on a small, tightly-aimed budget, which is why we anchor on the steady 6X to 7X two other rooms hold month after month. And we lead on the sustained figure, never a one-month peak. Some accounts sit lower; Meta isn't a promise that every room performs the same.

The receipts, one per account

Real Meta returns, rendered from the live API, account by account.

Each card is real, unedited Meta Ads data pulled straight from the API, then anonymized to the business model. Spend and revenue are withheld, so the return is a clean ratio of tracked purchase value to cost, month by month across the year.

Every card is real Meta Ads API data, anonymized to the business model and never the client name. The economics are escape-room and ticketed-experience economics: read these as the calibre of return the system drives, not as a promise that a clinic or a trade hits the same number. We publish ratios and booking counts, never a client's raw spend or revenue.

The method

Four levers that turn scrolls into bookings.

Paid social lives or dies on the creative and the offer, so that's where we start.

  1. We make the ad, not just run it

The Facebook and Instagram creative is designed in-house, built to stop the scroll and carry a real offer.

These are creatives we design for real escape rooms, built to earn the click, not stock templates pulled off a shelf.

  2. Point demand at the slots that need filling

Aim the ads at the off-peak nights, birthdays, corporate and group demand that nobody is searching for.

Meta reaches people who weren't looking yet, so it's the channel that fills a quiet weeknight search can't touch.

  3. Measure to the booking, not the like

Fix the tracking so a click can be tied to a sale, then judge the account on bookings and cost per booking.

Lost Reality's purchases attribute cleanly in Meta, which is the only reason a 52X can be read straight off the dashboard at all.

  4. Prospect, then retarget

Cheap reach up top to find new buyers, then retarget the ones who engaged with the offer that converts.

Lost Reality's retargeting held a 50X-plus return at about $3.60 a booking, because the audience was warmed up first.

The creative is ours

We make the ads, not just run them.

Meta hands the winner to whoever feeds it the best creative, so this is where we spend the work. These are real ads we designed for the accounts above, built before a dollar of media, not stock templates pulled off a shelf.

The weight of it

Not one lucky account. A pattern held for years.

The reason we can show a return that held is that we have held it, across escape-room accounts in four countries, some of them run since 2022.

  • Since 2022how long we have run some of these paid-social accounts, including Lost Reality, held through season after season
  • 9 of 10 monthsLost Reality held a 50X-plus Meta purchase return in 9 of its last 10 months, its own account, on a small budget
  • 11 straight monthsthe most bulletproof hold, The Escape Adventures averaging about 6.5X on Meta across 11 months without a losing one

Massive Impact is a Meta Ads Partner, and every Meta figure on this page is read straight off the client's own Ads Manager.

We publish ratios, tenure and booking counts, never a client's raw spend or revenue, and we lead on the sustained average rather than the best month every time. Some accounts sit lower; Meta is not a promise that every room performs the same.

Questions, answered straight.

Do you make the ads or just run them?
We make them. The Facebook and Instagram creative is designed in-house before a dollar is spent, because paid social lives or dies on whether the ad stops the scroll and the offer gives a reason to book.
Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?
No. Management is part of the flat Growth Plan, so we're paid the same whether your media budget is small or large. That keeps the goal on bookings, not on talking you into a bigger buy.
Can you guarantee a return on Facebook ads?
No honest agency can, because the auction and creative fatigue aren't fully ours to control. What we control is the creative, the offer, the targeting and the tracking, and we show you the account so you can read the return yourself.
Should I run Facebook or Google?
Usually both, because they do different jobs: Google captures demand that exists, Facebook and Instagram create demand that doesn't yet. On the call we'll tell you honestly which to start with for your business and budget.
