The situation
Fox in a Box Tucson needed Google Ads that returned money, not just clicks, in a competitive local market where "escape rooms tucson" and "escape room near me" are the battleground terms.
The account had to stay efficient through seasonal swings, holidays, and creative fatigue.
What we did
We ran Google Ads as the core channel, a disciplined mix of Search and Performance Max split by purpose, and kept it tuned month after month.
- Google Ads split into a branded defensive campaign, a high-intent local Search campaign, and PMax for reach.
- Tight budget management: day-parting, geo tuning, and steady negative-keyword work.
- Seasonal asset groups for Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's, and Spring Break to ride demand spikes.
- A creative refresh cadence rotating new images, video, and responsive search ads to beat fatigue.
The results
- ~9X avgGoogle Ads ROAS across a full year, ranging about 6X to 11.6X by season
- $10.70cost per booking in its strong May 2026, on 81 bookings
- 47phone-call leads in June 2026, up from 29 in May
Google Ads monthly reports, August 2025 to June 2026; ROAS peaked at 11.6X in November 2025 and 11.22X in May 2026.
The creative we ran
Real ads we designed and shipped for Fox in a Box Tucson. The creative is ours, made before a dollar of media went out.
Tucson is the metrics workhorse: proof we can run efficient escape-room paid search across a whole franchise network, not just one lucky store.
