The situation
Fox in a Box Chicago runs all-private, multi-room escape rooms, a real differentiator against a national competitor that charges extra for private bookings.
The owner came to us with three months left on his lease and no certainty he'd renew: the business wasn't profitable and was getting crushed in a brutally competitive Chicago market. He gave us three months to turn it around.
On the paid-social side we were starting from scratch, with conversion tracking still being wired up, thin creative, and a clear drop-off between click and checkout.
What we did
We built the paid-social account from zero, fixed the tracking so purchases could be attributed, then narrowed to the segments that actually convert and rotated creative to find the winners.
Across the multi-year relationship, we've also run Google Ads and SEO for Chicago.
- Built the Facebook and Instagram account from zero and fixed the tracking so purchases could be attributed.
- Narrowed to the segments that convert and let the prospecting campaign carry volume.
- Rotated video, image, and seasonal creative, then cloned the standout angle.
- Leaned into the every-room-is-private, no-upcharge hook and pulled the messaging that was dragging results.
The results
- Since 2019seven years across the Fox in a Box franchise, US and UK, and still the partner
- 3 channelsGoogle Ads, SEO, and paid social, run under one roof for Chicago
- Built from zerothe Facebook and Instagram account, with tracking fixed so purchases attribute

Facebook Ads Manager. Paid-social is newly built and still small; the durable proof here is the multi-year, multi-channel relationship and the on-camera owner.
The creative we ran
Real ads we designed and shipped for Fox in a Box Chicago. The creative is ours, made before a dollar of media went out.
This is Vincent with Fox in a Box Chicago. I just want to say how great it has been to work with Piyush over the years. He's done some excellent marketing work for us, Google Ads, and managing to get us highly placed using his SEO powers. It's all been really amazing.
We didn't just save the lease: we went on to break the venue's revenue record several years running.
The original owner eventually exited after four to five years, and we still run the account for the new partner. A relationship since 2019, with a named, on-camera owner, trusted across the Fox in a Box network.
